Do not be fooled by its tiny size. This is an interesting square steel case with blacked-out indices at the 3,6,9 positions to offer high legibility
This Rolex Precision is fitted with a manually wound (remember, this is before miniature battery-powered movements were even invented) caliber 1401.
So yes, this is all the Rolex prowess you could desire, just condensed into a seriously small footprint. And you know what? The result is very stylish indeed!

The brand was founded by Alfred Davis and Hans Wilsdorf in London in 1905. In 1908, the name “Rolex” was registered. A range of waterproofing measures, among which a screw-down-crown, resulted in the famous Oyster case. Up to this day it is the basic platform on which the vast majority of Rolex watches is built. Model names often feature both the Oyster (water resistance) and Perpetual (self-winding movement) terminology, followed by a specific model designation such as Datejust or Submariner.
