One of those dials you can just fall in love with…

This Omega Chronometre is deceptively simple. A minimalist case and a sub-dial time-only layout. Yet there is so much to admire.

The two-tone dial features a closed minute track around the outer perimeter. A second, darker ribbon is home to the applied gold-tone Arabic and dot hour markers. The center of the dial is clearly lighter in tone, making for a beautifully subtle contrast. The subdial at six anchors the whole design by putting some visual weight at the center bottom of the dial. A pair of gold-tone leaf hands finish a light and effortless aesthetic.

The dial has been refinished at some point in the watch’s life. It has been done to such a high standard though, that we suspect it has been done during a service by Omega themselves.
