Longines Calatrava
The Calatrava style watch might be most commonly associated with Patek Philippe, but Longines hold their own in this field as well!
A Calatrava watch is a dress watch with a minimalist design and a sub-seconds dial at six o’clock. A layout Longines has perfected in the fifties.
This particular example features warm yellow gold indices and hands, on an egg-shell dial. While the 12, 3, 6, and 9 markers are applied, the stick indices in between are actually cut into the dial, giving it some lovely dimensionality. Combined with a clean stainless steel case, this makes for a highly attractive and versatile dress watch.
