Longines ‘Hour Angle’

harles Lindbergh was the first pilot in 1927 to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic. After this flight – so the story goes – he asked Longines to make a watch with which he could make complex calculations; the result was the Hour Angle, nowadays known as the Lindbergh.

The Lindbergh stands out in the first place because of the rich Art Deco design. Everything is in style: the elegant hands, detailed dial, elegant case, and convex onion crown. The contrasting inner ring can be rotated to arrive at the calculations. This Lindbergh has a steel case of approx. 47 mm. The timepiece can be seen automatically and beautifully by opening the back cover (the so-called Hunter style). The watch has recently been to Longines for a service. The (original) strap is made of leather and has the original Longines closure. We finally sell the watch with the original box and (warranty) papers.
