Unique specimens with lots of character that are important in the Vintage world. The model Datejust is one of the models who stole our hearts many years ago and we can say we have a nice collection. Colored dials are getting harder to come by.
But we are so glad to present to you this beauty! Reference 16233 with ‘tapestry’ dial surrounded by a yellow gold fluted bezel. The story goes that Rolex designed that dial especially for the stock traders from Wall Street. In the 80s Wall Street was flourishing, people had success. Rolex was kind of a statement but people wanted that not to be too obvious. So a Rolex watch with a Tapestry dial, not too flashy.
Nom this Datejust is maybe a bit catching the eye. Gold/steel with black dial….we love it!
