Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 Wideboy

A watch that should be in any watch collection, man or women, or to share of course. This timeless design is close to perfection. A good but modest size, stainless steel with a long life ahead of itself and a vintage character.

This 36 mm. sized beauty is still as pretty as is was when it was sold in 1971. The condition is stunning and the silver sunburst dial is still light of colour and gives the watch fresh and modern face. Furthermore, the hour markers on the dial are wider than the regular ones and got the nickname ‘Wideboy’, which is easier legible and, most importantly more desirable.. details, details… The fluted bezel is still super sharp and matches well with the dial.

The timeless oyster case is spotless and the folded jubilee bracelet still has a lot of good and comfortable years ahead of itself. This vintage Datejust is finished with its original papers and tags, which is a pretty big extra when it comes to watches of this age. Often the papers were lost on vintage watches, the original papers weren’t valued as much back in the day as people do now. If this is a must to you, be quick.
